Biography

World Bank Global Food and Agriculture Practice 

Chakib Jenane joined the World Bank Global Food and Agriculture Practice in 2014. His primary focus is on promoting agribusiness development in Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank, he served as Chief of the Agro-industry Technology Unit and deputy-Director of the Agribusiness Development Branch within the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and as university Professor at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine in Rabat/Morocco (IAV Hassan II). He completed a Doctorate-es-Sciences from IAV Hassan II and an MS agricultural engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. He also undertook a post-Doctorate within the Bio-systems Engineering Department of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a Fulbright alumni and has published extensively in the field of power and agricultural machinery.
